Rodeo Austin is excited to announce its entertainment for the 2010 Rodeo Austin Gala, Dwight Yoakam and Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros! The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo will host its annual black tie event, the Rodeo Austin Gala, on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Palmer Events Center. This year, attendees will be treated like cowboy royalty for the evening, with a gourmet dinner, a fully-stocked bar, a silent auction, raffle drawings for luxury prizes and live entertainment from Dwight Yoakam and Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros.

The Gala will begin at 6pm with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and the dress is ‘Cowboy  Chic’. Tables of 10 are priced between $1,500 and $5,500 and individual tickets are $150. Each year, the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo contributes thousands of dollars to the youth of Texas through its scholarship program, which is largely supported by funds raised at the yearly Gala. As one of the largest black tie affairs in Austin, the Rodeo Austin Gala promises good times for a good cause by supporting Rodeo Austin’s mission of  Promoting Youth Education – Preserving Western Heritage.
