Ultimate Scramble Championship (USC), held on March 19, 2016, is Rodeo Austin's extreme sport for youth! Unlike any other calf scramble program, USC is a one day tournament in which competitors catch calves in hopes of advancing to the next round. Half of all competitors will receive at least $1,000 in the form of a USC Certificate for catching a calf. The first competitor to cross the finish line in the finals will win a USC Certificate worth $5,000 and the title of Ultimate Scramble Champion.
With the USC certificates, winners can purchase their animal of choice: market steer, market lamb, market goat, market barrow, breeding heifer or boer goat to bring to the next year's show. Over the course of the year, the student gains knowledge on financial responsibility and time management by caring for the animal. For most participants, this is an opportunity for them to learn about the livestock industry and start their own investments within the industry. With your contribution, Texas youth who are unable to purchase an animal on their own will have the opportunity.
After purchasing, benefits are made available to contributor only after full payment has been received. Full payment must be received by January 15, year of show for contributor to receive all benefits.
