BBQ Cook-off

The BBQ Cook-off is an entertainment feature not to be missed at Rodeo Austin. The southwest corner of the Fairgrounds comes alive with music, fun and BBQ smoke as teams compete in a variety of BBQ contests. The public is invited to sample the mouthwatering food and join in the festivities at each team's elaborate staging area. Admission to the BBQ Cook-off is FREE with Fairgrounds admission.

Guests are encouraged to make a donation into the team’s tip jar, which serves as a fundraiser for the Rodeo Austin Scholarship Program. In 2009, more than $190,000 was raised at the event.
